Below is an easy-reference guide that you can use to quickly identify which Maruva Naturals variation of this product is right for your facial skin. Our formulations marry ancient Ayurvedic wisdom with potent African and Indian botanicals, ensuring that each product supports your Dosha. Use this guide to select the perfect formulation that aligns with your Dosha’s elemental traits.

Pitta (Fire & Water): Pitta embodies intensity, transformation, and clear energy—with a tendency toward sensitivity and heat. Pitta formulations are cooling and soothing, designed to calm inflammation and balance natural warmth.

Select this product if you identify with the below traits of Pitta hair:

  • Moderately Oily: Pitta hair has a balanced to slightly oily texture, which provides natural lubrication but can lead to greasiness if overactive. Proper cleansing helps maintain equilibrium.
  • Fine to Medium Texture: The hair is often smooth and manageable but can become more prone to irritation or damage if exposed to excess heat or harsh treatments.
  • Sensitive Scalp: The scalp is prone to sensitivity, including inflammation, itchiness, or redness. It reacts to environmental changes, heat, and strong chemical products.
  • Prone to Heat Damage: The inherent fire element in Pitta makes the hair more susceptible to damage from excessive heat (e.g., styling tools or sun exposure). This can weaken the strands over time.
  • Signs to Watch For:
    • Scalp irritation;
    • Excess oiliness;
    • Breakouts on the scalp;
    • Heat-induced dryness;
    • Thinning or weakening strands.

  • Shake the bottle well before use to ensure all the natural ingredients are properly mixed.
  • For scalp treatment, part your hair into sections and apply a small amount of oil directly onto the scalp.
  • Using your fingertips, gently massage the oil into your scalp in circular motions for about 5-10 minutes. This helps stimulate blood circulation and ensures the oil is evenly distributed.
  • For hair treatment, apply a small amount of oil to your palms and gently run your hands through your hair, focusing on the mid-lengths and ends.
  • This will help to condition and hydrate the hair, reducing frizz and adding shine.
  • For best results, allow the oil to soak, ideally overnight, but for at least an hour before washing out.
  • For a deeper treatment, apply the oil as described above and leave it on overnight.
  • Wash your hair thoroughly using your Maruva Shampoo and Conditioner.
  • For best results, use the oil 2 times a week or as needed based on your hair's condition and needs.
